The Metrorail is Washington D.C.'s transit service. It is the easiest and main way to get around. There are 6 color-coded rail lines: Red, Orange, Silver, Blue, Yellow, and Green. Station entrances are identified by tall brown columns with large "M's". Colored stripes on the column show which lines serve the station. During peak hours: $2.25 to $6 per trip. During off-peak hours: $1.85 to $3.85.

  • Friday 5AM-1AM
  • Saturday 7AM-1AM
  • Sunday 8AM-11PM
